Longshan County is under Xiangxi Tujiazu Miaozu Autonomous Prefecture and is situated on the northwest border of west Hunan, at the junction of Hubei, Hunan and Chongqing and in Hinterland of Wulingshan Mountain, bounded with Jingchu and Bashu, and was historically called “Narrow Passage to Hunan, Hubei and Sichuan”.
This planning shows on the basis that urban current status, resource condition and ecological environment etc of Longshan County that in the future, Longshan Mountain will surround the general construction target of five Longshan Mountains such as “Demonstration Longshan Mountain, Green Longshan Mountain, Humanistic Longshan Mountain, Harmonious Longshan Mountain and Wisdom Longshan Mountain”, and the development thinking to build Longshan and Laifeng two cities “Urban Integration”. Considering the integral top design of macroscopic economic layer of Longfeng Demonstration Plot, make efforts to build Longshan County into regional central city of Wulingshan Mountain Plot, Boundary Trade Center at the junction of Hunan, Hubei and Chongqing, ecological cultural tourism destination of great Wulingshan Mountain, green agricultural byproducts base and livable landscape city.
